Nazanine was only a schoolgirl when her family left Iran. She pursued her schooling and then her studies in biology in the USA, Canada and France and then continued in research and teaching.The sudden death of her father led her to return to Iran in search of this family of immigrants from Russia who had fled the Stalinist regime, and this grandfather who perished in the Gulags and whose photo was hidden in the darkness of family silence.
